Capitol Tours :

Capitol tour schedule for the 2025-2026 New Year Holiday: Wednesday, December 31st, there will be tours offered 9am until 11:00am. Closed January 1st and 2nd, 2026. Saturday January 3rd and Sunday January 4th Capitol Tours are offered at 9am. 11am, 1pm and 3pm. 

Your safety is important to us. We ask that you comply with the following guidelines.

Tours fill quickly. We recommend scheduling in advance. Walk-ins are welcome according to availability.

Arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time and check in with the guide at the information desk.

Tours take approximately 30-45 minutes. 

Our tours are limited to 40 guests total per tour. Book your tour online at www.pacapitol.com.

As a reminder self- guided tours are not permitted weekends and holidays.

On this day in 1879
Civil War veteran John Carroll Delaney was appointed the Senate Librarian. OR 1822, the original Pennsylvania State Capitol Building in Philadelphia was finished. Today it is known as Independence Hall.
